My work explores and celebrates color. The brilliant dichroic glass cabochons and the striking colors of the handcut stones I use are an integral part of each piece I fabricate. Everywhere I turn I see…geometry, architecture, and more colors. I can’t ignore them. Nature’s form, texture, and colors are an integral part of the work I do. I love taking a piece of sheet or wire and cutting, hammering, rolling, soldering, and shaping it into a piece of wearble art.
I have a BS Visual Arts concentrating in Metals and Glass from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
This piece sold after my last show. I got an email with a customer wanting it...they hadn't even tried it on at the show. I love when that happens. It is art glass and beach glass combined in one colorful pendant and a simple design. Of course, when I brought it to the show I made sure it was shined to the max so it sparkled.
