My work explores and celebrates color. The brilliant dichroic glass cabochons and the striking colors of the handcut stones I use are an integral part of each piece I fabricate. Everywhere I turn I see…geometry, architecture, and more colors. I can’t ignore them. Nature’s form, texture, and colors are an integral part of the work I do. I love taking a piece of sheet or wire and cutting, hammering, rolling, soldering, and shaping it into a piece of wearble art.
I have a BS Visual Arts concentrating in Metals and Glass from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
Here is a pair of copper earrings I was playing with this week. Handcut copper with heat patinas . They are a primitive in styling. Ear wires are surgical steel. $24 per pair and they have been sealed to preserve the coloration.
